Bachelor
of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)
The
Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) program
is a four and a half year program. The candidate has to
complete one year compulsory rotatory internship as per
the norms of the Medical Council of India. The total number
of available seat is 100. The Himalayan Institute
of Medical Sciences is recognized by MCI as a Under Graduate
Medical College. A candidate who has completed at least
17 years of age is eligible to appear in the entrance
examination. Every year in the month of January/February
applications are invited from eligible candidates for
appearing in the pre medical entrance examination conducted
by the University on all India basis. The pre medical
entrance examination is held in the month of May at various
centers in the country.
Results
are declared before 15th June. Allotment of seats is done
before 15th of July and the course commences in the first
week of August.

Note:
1. The fees for First
Prof. shall continue till the dandidate passes out the
First Prof Exam.
2. The candidate must
pass II Prof., Final Prof. Part I & Final Prof. Part
II in 42 months. otherwise extra fees shall be charged
@ Rs. 2,88,000/- for every six months.
3. Above fee does
not include charges for hostel & mess. Additional
charges for extra utilities will be levied appropriately.

might be revised from time to time.
Academic Calendar:
The academic session of the MBBS course starts in the
month of August every year with inauguration address by
VC and Dean.
